Day 1 of filming is a wrap!

Behind the scenes: A master prepares. The great Sir Dickie Benson having a quiet moment before going on set

After months of planning and pre-production the cameras finally rolled for day one of Once Bitten… at the Northern Quarter Photo Studio in Central Manchester this morning.

Today we were shooting the inimitable Sir Dickie Benson in front of a greenscreen for sequences that will form the episode of the cable TV show Horror Or Hokum? that Martha watches in her hotel room.

Unsurprisingly when working with such a seasoned professional as Dir Dickie the day ran like clockwork and there was even time to shoot an impromptu Q&A session with the great man before we wrapped. Sir Dickie was in fine candid form and, if we can get it past our legal team, we may even be able to share parts of the interview in the run up to the release of Once Bitten…

Thanks to everyone at NQ Photo Studio for being such great hosts. Now it’s time to get back to preparing the set for the main shoot at the end of the month.
