A4 Studios is a not-for-profit organisation that has been founded by a group of disabled and able-bodied artists and entrepreneurs who recognised a need for good quality affordable studio spaces within the locality of Trafford.<\/p>\n

As soon as director Pete Tomkies read the Once Bitten\u2026 script he had a strong vision of the location he wanted to film at. Unfortunately run down 1980s New York hotels are hard to come by in Manchester so after a fruitless 6 months of location scouting a decision was made to explore the options for building a set.<\/p>\n

During a meeting with John Lockwood<\/a>, the entrepreneur and artist behind A4 Studios in Altrincham, Pete was shown a room in the oldest part of the building, dating back to the 18030s. It was definitely a fixer upper but with John\u2019s ingenuity and a hard working team of set builders Martha\u2019s hotel room was created.<\/p>\n

We would like to say a huge thank to John for his work on the set for Once Bitten\u2026 and to Allan, Bex and all of the artists and management team who made us feel truly welcome despite the disruption we brought to their world at times! We loved our time at A4 Studios and it was sad day when we moved out after filming.<\/p>\n
