What is your favourite colour?

The Blues.

What was the first story / script you ever wrote and how old were you?

The first story I ever wrote was as follows:

THE WORLD’S SHORTEST FAIRY-TALE
Once-upon-a-time,
they all lived
happily ever after.

I’m very old, so I can’t remember exactly when I wrote it – but it was a long time ago!

Who is your role model or inspiration?

How long have we got? But Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Galton & Simpson, Emily Bronte, Spike Milligan, Richmal Crompton spring to mind.

When did you know you wanted to be a writer?

When I first read the ‘Just William’ books as a child.

What one essential thing do you always have with you when writing?

A light-bulb.

What is your favourite biscuit?

Jaffa Cakes.

Name a film which always makes you happy?

Oh, Mr Porter – Will Hay.

Name a film which always makes you cry?

A sci-fi blockbuster that came out a few years ago – it was awful!

Tea or coffee?

Not really.

What was the best part of working on Once Bitten…?

Having my script accepted by Pete and everyone else who worked on it!

What sucked the most about working on Once Bitten…?

To quote Edwin Starr: ‘Absolutely nothing!’

What are you working on now / next?

A short horror story for the upcoming edition of horror-zine, Knock,Knock.

Any advice for aspiring writers?

Never trust a clown who won’t wear-make-up – he’s got to have something to hide.
